Lightbox JS is a popular javascript which enable the user to view the images on current page. But to setup this javascript on wordpress manually required several steps, it could be difficult for the new users. Lucky there are always some nice guys around us will make the world easier. There are two lightbox wp plugins, Lightbox JS v2.03.2 Plugin made by Peppe Argento, and the other one WP lightbox JS WordPress plugin 0.8 made by Zeo. Both plugins works great, and requied the minimum steps to setup.

Download:

Lightbox 2 WordPress Plugin: Download Last Version (1.6) .rar
WP lightbox JS WordPress plugin: WP lightbox JS in zip (Version 0.8).

Installation:

The installation for both plugins are the same. Download and exact the file, upload to you plugin folder. Then activate on your admin plane.

PS: Be carefully with the installation of Lightbox 2 WordPress Plugin, the file lightbox2.php must be placed on the root of the plugin folder. Make sure the address of the lightbox2.php must be /plugins/lightbox2.php. Same as the lightbox floder.

Usage:

Add a rel="lightbox" attribute to any link tag to activate the lightbox, or rel="lightbox[name_of_the_set]" for image set.

Demonstration:

The following demonstractions are running under wordpress with WP lightbox JS WordPress plugin 0.8.

Activate lightbox by clicking a image:
